This was the perfect course for me to get my feet wet with recording engineering. As opposed to other long winded recording programs offered in America, this course allowed me to continue to play my instrument (the drums) as well as learn about the business side of the music industry, all while also taking recording classes and getting to use the recording facilities. This, coupled with the excitement of moving to a new, far away city in England, made the course feel like the right choice for me.

Graduate Nadin Hadorn

“The course was great because it combined music and technology, so there was songwriting and performing involved, as well as recording and programming. The songwriting classes were brilliant. I remember at first I was terrified to play my songs in front of the class, but the feedback I got from the class and lecturer really helped to develop my writing skills.”

Nadin Hadorn (Diploma in Popular Music and Sound Technology, 2002) is a writer and producer and is signed with the publisher Warner/Chappell Music, along with her writing partner Dan Black.

Phil Gornell - Pop Music & STPhil Gornell

“My time on the programme gave me not only the wealth of experience necessary but also the confidence to really get my career in the music industry going. Without the live audio classes I never would have had the drive to make things happen for myself!”

Phil Gornell (graduated 2008) is tour manager and front of house engineer for rock outfit Bring Me The Horizon.
