With the current graduate job market as competitive as it is, that additional professional experience can be a real advantage.

The Graduate Retention Programme aims to bridge the gap between education and the professional environment; providing employability training and industry specific placements aimed at giving you the skills and experience to begin a successful career in your chosen field.

Liverpool Chamber Training is leading a consortium of local universities which includes LIPA who are here to help through the Graduate Retention Programme.

We can offer you a course covering the key skills that businesses look for, (including IT, entrepreneurship, sales, business finance, negotiation, project and management) and valuable training in presentation skills, CV writing, interview techniques and personal marketing to help you stand out from the crowd.

We’ve also arranged placements (either 13 or 26 weeks) with reputable local firms, reducing the pool of applying graduates so you can have a fairer chance to put what you’ve learnt into practice and gain some useful on-the-ground work experience.

If you are an unemployed graduate and you live in Merseyside, e-mail a.bernstein@lipa.ac.uk for more information, and give yourself the edge in today’s competitive job market.

The Graduate Retention programme is part-funded by the European Union through the European Social Fund and co-financed by the Skills Funding Agency
