Knowledge Transfer is an important element of our activities.
Central to this is the way knowledge is transferred into business and the community through the skills and attributes of our students, graduates, experienced staff and from businesses and the community.
We offer businesses the opportunity to use performing arts for team development, managerial experience and problem solving through its Knowledge Transfer programme.
When staff from The Beatles Story recently visited LIPA they underwent a unique team building exercise, reviewing the company’s mission statement, not via a round-table discussion, but by putting the statement into lyrics.
With the help of our graduates and students, staff from The Beatles Story created the tune and the lyrics, directed a student band and recorded their own song in a studio.
We have also worked with the Environmental Agency and the NHS to provide staff training through performing arts. Over the coming months the Institute will also use its unique course to work with a number of Liverpool charities.
