Amy McDowell - Community Drama

Hello! My name is Amy McDowell, I am 20 years old and I am currently in my third year at LIPA studying BA (Honours) Community Drama.

I am originally from Somerset in England and moved to Liverpool in 2009. My main experience lies in Drama and Acting, however I am also a trained poi and stilt walking artist, and used to perform with Fuse Performance Company.

I came to LIPA hoping to be able to express my own individuality and techniques into performance and its creation. I love all kinds of music and enjoy a good Friday night out.

As a third year my blog entries will mainly consist of projects I have done whilst at LIPA. Some from my very first experiences to projects I am currently working on. As well as this, I think it’ll be good to let you all know about the kind of things community drama students get up to outside of LIPA – I’ll be sharing with you which shows we like to go and see, our individual projects and work, and what are the best things to get up to in Liverpool. Read, comment and enjoy!
