Rob is responsible for all aspects of student support and has worked at LIPA since 2002. He is based on level 6 in the main LIPA building and works part-time.
In addition to working in student support Rob has worked in education as a senior lecturer, in mental health nursing and in counselling.
Rob co-ordinates the work of the student support team members and works with students on a one-to-one basis himself. He has knowledge of internal and external agencies that can support students and part of his role is to signpost students to the best service or individuals that can be most helpful to students.
Rob feels proud of his work and the work of the team and hopes that students will feel able to come forward and ask for support without the fear of being judged. He always welcomes feedback about the student support service so that improvements can be made.
