Learning Services - Collections Information
- Compact Discs
The CD collection is one
of the largest in the LRC - it contains almost 7,000 CDs. The collection
is growing continuously, as Warner
and SonyBMG
donate new CDs regularly. A wide range of music types is represented
in the collection, including sampling and sound effects. The collection
is linked closely with music scores - we aim to have a corresponding
CD for each score held in the LRC. We also have small collections
of audio cassettes and LP records, which are shelved after the CDs.
