The event is a showcase of their creativity and
their developing skills in the areas of model making, lighting, and scenic construction and painting.
Henri Matisse (1869-1954) lived through some of the most turbulent times in modern history but his brush was never a conduit for the pain and anguish of the world outside his studio, critics argue. His bright, colourful works reflect a sense of harmony and balance – two themes that our students embraced when conceiving their designs.
This event is free of charge.
No ticket or pre-booking is required.

Alice!

Using Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland as their inspiration, dance, music and design students collaborate to present an engaging and creative take on the much-loved novel. Our students bring the book’s memorable characters and plot bursting into life on stage through different dance styles, musical themes and design concepts.
Alice!, which also draws from the sequel Alice Through the Looking-Glass, sets out to capture the same subtly dark surrealism that has enchanted readers since 1865, when the public was first introduced to the young adventurer and her whacky, nonsensical world
of talking rabbits and grinning cats.
Performed by final year Dance and Music students.
Suitable for all the family.

One of our most popular performances each year, the show is a seasonal showcase featuring performers from many different disciplines.
Last year we featured songs from our gospel choir and a cappella ensembles, music from our Large and Loose Creative Jazz Orchestra(which features many different instrumentalists), Christmas stories as told by our actors and a special appearance by LIPA 4:19 – the next generation of entertainers. This year’s concert line-up is still under wraps but rest assured it will continue to celebrate top quality music and will include some fresh
interpretations of yuletide favourites. Join us and get your festive season off to a cracking start.
Performed by students across all years and different disciplines.

Ayres & Graces is under new management. This family-run furniture firm needs a strong leader to steer it into a new era. Welcome then to Jack McCracken, the prodigal son-inlaw, returned to the fold from the frozen fish sticks industry and all set to stamp out any dirty dealing. Can Jack turn things around without compromising his high standards?
With a family as witless, scheming and spineless as this one, it's no wonder the furniture business is so wobbly. A Small Family Business is an attack on conspicuous consumption, written to expose the greed of the Thatcherite era. Yet it now looks like a prophetic social document, one that predicted
everything from the credit crisis to the parliamentary expenses scandal. A brilliant, dark comedy about family values in a society obsessed with material things.
Performed by final year Acting students.
