This is aimed at students who have successfully completed our Acting (Level 1) course, or students who already have more substantial experience in acting than those who attend our Acting (Level 1) course. Through practical workshops, text analysis classes, self-directed rehearsal, research and work with directors on directing, students will develop action based characterisations using analysis of text as their first tool. Students may explore a range of texts from naturalistic and modern texts, as well as being introduced to verse and Shakespeare. The course uses many of the techniques acquired in Acting (Level 1) to extend the student-actor in rehearsing more complex texts than has been encountered to date.

This course is ideal for students who have successfully completed our Acting (Level 1) short courses for adults course.
