The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts is offering university level evening courses to allow broader access to LIPA's high quality training. The courses are taken from our prestigious vocational degree programmes in the performing arts and are all taught in our purpose built facilities. They are taught by experienced, successful tutors and performing arts practitioners, who also teach our degree courses.

The courses are aimed at adults with a passion for the performing arts, who want to learn more and develop skills in a recognised centre of excellence. Prior university level study is not required.

Those who successfully complete the courses will be awarded a Liverpool John Moores University Certificate in Professional Development. In certain circumstances, these certificates could be used to gain credit on degree programmes elsewhere. The courses start in April 2009 and run one night a week from 6pm to 9pm, over 10 weeks, with the exception of the Music Business course and Creativity In Health Care Settings, which include further tuition on one weekend. There are fee concessions if you are receiving certain benefits. The courses can be taken individually or in combination.

Please note: due to changes in government funding policy, priority will be given to people who do not have degrees or equivalent qualifications.
