Theatre & Performance Design graduate Frankie Bradshaw has been nominated for an Olivier Award.
Frankie, who graduated in 2014, is up for Best Set Design for Ballet Shoes at the National Theatre.
Lois Maskell, Theatre & Performance Design programme leader, says the recognition is well deserved. “Frankie’s work is always beautifully considered. The nomination, and the decision to bring Ballet Shoes back to the National Theatre this autumn, is wonderful news. Frankie is a true collaborator, with an innate ability to get to the real heart of a production.”
This is Frankie’s second Olivier Award nomination. In 2023 she was shortlisted for Best Costume Design for Blues for an Alabama Sky, Lyttleton Theatre. In 2019 Frankie and director Lynette Linton were winners of The Stage Debut Award for Best Creative West End Debut for Sweat at Donmar Warehouse and Gielgud Theatre. Frankie was winner of the Off West-End Award for Best Set Design in 2016 for Adding Machine, Finborough Theatre.
Frankie’s other credits include Dear Octopus, National Theatre, Macbeth, UK tour and Itch, Opera Holland Park.
The Olivier Awards 2025 are announced on Sunday 6 April at the Royal Albert Hall.
